New Business Sales Executive

About The Role:
We are delighted to welcome application to the New Business team to the role of New Business Sales Executive. The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in a sales role, ideally within the insurance or financial sector. This role requires strong communication and persuasion skills with the ability to build positive and professional relationships with customers with focus on building rapport to drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with potential new customers to sell car, van, and home insurance policies via outbound calls, front counter enquires and other digital communication channels.
- Contact and convert warm leads generated through the GMIB.ie website and other online enquiry points.
- Identify customer needs and recommend the most suitable insurance solutions, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Gain market knowledge across all insurance segments to enable you to quote for all small, large and difficult to place risks.
- Accurately record all sales activity and customer interactions in the company CRM and excel trackers.
- Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
- Provide excellent customer service at every stage of the sales process, ensuring a positive experience that supports our reputation for quality and professionalism.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to share best practices and ensure that the clients post sale experience is well communicated, and their expectations are met.
About You
- Sales Experience: Demonstrable track record in a sales role, ideally within insurance or financial services. Experience with outbound sales and working with warm leads is highly desirable.
- Sales Skills: Strong communication and persuasion skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and convert enquiries into sales.
- Self-Motivation: Highly driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast- paced, target-driven environment.
- Work ethic: Demonstrate high output on a daily basis on call numbers, leads contacted and conversions.
- Competitiveness: A passion for meeting and exceeding targets, consistently striving to outperform KPIs and support team success.
- Customer Focus: Committed to delivering excellent customer service and building lasting client relationships.
- Adaptability: Comfortable learning new systems and processes, with a willingness to embrace change and continuous improvement.
- Organisation: Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads simultaneously.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales or telesales role (insurance industry experience an advantage but not essential).
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Competence with CRM systems and digital communication tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
