About The Role: 

The purpose of the role is to provide a quality service to existing and new Beauty scheme clients, covering all aspects of their insurance arrangements; to advise, arrange and secure the appropriate cover at a competitive premium. To be aware of market and industry developments and bring them to the attention of clients and colleagues, escalating to Insurers where necessary.

Principle Objectives and Responsibilities include the following, other objectives may be assigned:

  • To ensure the fair treatment of our customers and prospective customers in all of their dealings with us.
  • Deal with new business and renewals in the Affinity department, referring to senior colleagues, experts or insurers when issues fall outside own experience and knowledge.
  • Ensure that all communications with customers are accurately recorded as pe the Firm’s Procedures.
  • Exercise judgement when reviewing proposals, either new or renewals, referring to a senior colleague or insurer when appropriate
  • Deal with any telephone enquiries for new or existing business, exercising own judgement, based upon knowledge and experience, as to when to refer to senior colleagues.
  • Assist in training other members of staff where required.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc marketing and development tasks, including prospecting and product development.
  • Help Affinity team distribute, allocate and complete all daily, weekly and monthly tasks.
  • Attend 2 annual trade shows to man the Exhibition stand, hand out leaflets, answer queries from potential and existing clients and trainers.

About You

You have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of core policies including current market conditions.
  • Knowledge and understanding of FCA rules and guidelines relating to commercial and/or private customers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all company specific procedures.
  • Willingness to continue to develop knowledge of Underwriting and related issues through formal and informal learning, both internal to the firm, and externally.
  • Willingness to gain an in-depth knowledge of the beauty and fitness industry and develop treatment and qualifications knowledge.
  • Ability to develop and sustain relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to construct effective written communications, including letters and reports.
  • Confident and effective telephone skills.

  • Back Office Website (part of training program)
  • Ad-hoc specialised programs e.g. claims and flood maps
