Reports to: Ian Morgan, Risk Services Director
Location: Home-based, visiting client sites. The AssuredPartners office location is Birmingham.
About The Role:
You will provide Risk Services advice, guidance and on-site consultancy support to a variety of clients in the UK and to assist the Director in the success of the Ris Services division and achievement of the annual Risk Services income budget. Working in a team of Risk Service consultants with the Risk Services Director to support clients within the education and charity sector, with some commercial clients.
Amongst other things, you will:
- Complete H&S Audits of client’s business and produce reports in line with the service level agreements set by the division, having regard for the practical solutions and to provide income for the Risk Services division.
- Provide advice and guidance on H&S and Business Continuity matters to clients via telephone and/or email in line with the service level agreements set by the
division. - Co-ordinate with internal staff on new leads, opportunities, client proposals
- Complete Fire Risk Assessments of client premises in line with the service level agreements set by the division
- Provide on-site consultancy support for clients in line with quoted Risk Services proposals (e.g. assistance with developing/implementing H&S policies, procedures, safe systems of work, risk assessments, COSHH assessments etc.)
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to assist them in maintaining a cycle of continuous improvement in H&S
- Assist in the development of the Risk Services web pages and client hub resources
- Contribute to marketing material
- Undertake in-house and/or external training in line with the requirements of the business and the specific role
- Assist the Risk Services Director in future projects to develop the division
- Identify, develop and discuss with the Risk Services Director future areas for development
About You
For this role, it’s important that the following apply to you:
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management/IFE Fire Risk Register Approved Course (or willingness to undertake)
- Member of IOSH
- Familiar with leading and developing Business Continuity Plans
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Professional and approachable
- Good interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with client representatives at all levels, including senior-level management
- Good presentation skills, with experience of presenting to clients/colleagues/senior management
- Organised and accurate with a forward planning approach
- A desire to share in the success of the Risk Services division
- Well-presented and professional
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to build and nurture all business relationships
- Excellent client focus, including the ability to manage potentially contentious interactions with varying negotiation strategies
- The highest degree of ethics and integrity in client focus
- Ability to travel (full UK driving licence)
