AssuredPartners, owned PSP Group has announced it has agreed to acquire the general insurance business assets of two new southwest insurance brokers, Sterling Select Insurance Services Limited (“SSI”) and Castle Sundborn Limited (“Castle”).
SSI and Castle will operate as part of PSP Group and in doing so will allow for the expansion of existing operations in Wiltshire and the creation of a new office presence in Gloucestershire. The two new South West insurance broker acquisitions will add £4m of GWP and all staff will report to PSP Group CEO, Bob Parkins.
David Heathfield, CEO of AssuredPartners UK&I, said:
“The addition of these two operations is further evidence of our intent to be the leading broker across the South West of England and we’re very happy that the teams will play a key role in that vision.”
Bob Parkins CEO of PSP Group said
“I am excited that PSP Group continues to expand with the support of AssuredPartners. These deals, so quickly after the acquisition of Westinsure Plymouth is evidence of our ambition to build a strong South West Hub to complement our parent’s UK and Ireland expansion. The additional GWP and significant experience of both teams will immediately strengthen our presence in Wiltshire and help us to serve a broader spectrum of clients from our new office in Stroud, Gloucestershire. We are planning to expand in other areas of The South West particularly Bristol, Somerset Avon, Dorset and Hampshire in the near future.”
