About The Role: 

Anchorman Insurance Consultants Ltd are based in Okehampton and were established in 1998. They have been part of AssuredPartners (one of the Top 10
insurance brokers in UK and Ireland and the 11th biggest in USA) since 2022. Anchorman specialise in providing insurance policies to professionals in the
construction industry and have a wide client base extending across the UK.

An account handler is being sought in our Okehampton office due to growth within the business. The role will deal with commercial insurance risks from new business requests coming through from clients, to liaising with insurers to closing the deals and adding all details into the computer system.

The main elements of the role are:  

  1. New business enquiries
  2. Preparing Client renewal reports
  3.  Assist with day-to-day client insurance and risk queries
  4. Assist with mid-term changes to risk
  5. Support the Senior Account Directors on complex cases
  6. Nurture excellent client relationship
  7. System administrative duties

What you will need to have:

  • At least 1 years account handling / client advisory experience within commercial insurance broking
  • Experience in professional indemnity insurance would be beneficial but not essential
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Keen to advance through insurance qualifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong administrative skills
  • Personable and a team player
  • Good knowledge of FCA Compliance
  • Salary negotiable depending upon experience
